2018 HALF DAY CAMPS
Ages: 3-7 years old
Times: 9:00am-12:00 pm OR 1:00pm-4:00pm
Spanish and Art Immersion 7/2, 7/3, 7/5 and 7/6 (am) Students are immersed in the Spanish language through the avenue of ART! Led by Ms. Ana O’neil, a bilingual mom and teacher, this four day camp is appropriate for bilingual students as well as children new to the language. We will play, paint, tinker and create all while weaving in Spanish language, culture and games!
Paint & Play ½ Day 7/9-7/13 (am) The world is your canvas! Tools, toys, household items, and all things unexpected will be our modes & medium. It’s a week filled with messy, exploratory fun both in the studio & out!
Be Your Own Hero (2 sessions) 6/18-6/22 (pm) OR 7/16-7/20 (am) Campers will explore what makes a hero. Literature about everyday heroes will be read daily We will create masks, capes, comics to design a SUPER world starting THEM! Each day includes outdoor time for games & superhero skills!
Down to Earth (2 sessions) 6/18-6/22 (am) OR 7/16-7/20 (pm) Explore, create, & play in a dreamy natural play land. The farm and it’s property lends itself to inquisitive walks for the discovery of nature to inspire & create beautiful works of art.
TINKER-BELLE JUNIOR 6/25-6/29 (am) (GIRLS ONLY) A younger version of our full day Tinker-belles. Girls will be trained on safety with and use of of tools. We will tinker in the studio to create a take home project of their own design . Girls will become architect, project manager, & woodworker!!
FULL DAY CAMPS
Entering 1st grade & up
TINKER-BELLES (2 sessions) 6/25-6/29 OR 8/6-8/10 (GIRLS ONLY) Girls will be trained on safety with and use of a variety of tools. Days will be spent tinkering in the studio to collectively build a large scale project and then also independently create their own take home design . Girls will become architect, project manager, and woodworker! Guest speakers & demonstrations will include women in the fields of woodworking, mechanical engineering & more!
Sew WHAT?! 7/2-7/6 (no camp on 7/4) Campers will have the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques from machine sewing, hand sewing, weaving, textile construction techniques, and design and pattern making. All campers will have the opportunity to bring home finished projects as well as skills/materials to continue working at home. Time will be spent in the studio and enjoying the beautiful peaceful setting of Lang Farm.
THEATER & ART w/ FUSION 802 DANCE CO. 7/23-7/27 Campers will develop, plan and perform a musical/dance production with staff from FUSION 802 Dance Studio and Wildflowers Studio. Art projects will include backdrops, costume creation and set design. ($350 for the week)
Paint & Play ALL DAY 7/9-7/13 The world is your canvas! Unexpected objects, tools, household items, and even our own body parts will become our mode and our medium for painting. It’s a week filled with messy, creative fun both in the studio and outside!
Game Makers! 8/13-8/17 Campers will spend days playing and creating with Legos, making marble runs, creating their own board games and doing “take-a-parts!” Outdoor time will include relays, games and obstacle courses designed and developed by campers!
Namaste Art & Nature w/ Evolution Family Yoga (2 sessions) 7/30-8/3 OR 8/20-8/24 Campers will balance their days practicing yoga around the beautiful Lang Farm grounds. Artwork will be centered on mindfulness, balance and community.
