About the Founders

Lyndsy Blais, M.Ed. is a mother of four and an educator with over 13 years experience. Lyndsy holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Education from Muhlenberg College and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Vermont. Lyndsy’s passion for working with children brought her to a number of unique settings with various age groups and abilities. She has been a ski instructor, a sailing instructor, a 1:1 case manager for students with Autism, a Consulting Teacher in public schools and an Educational Evaluator in a private setting. The concept for Wildflowers Studio came to fruition when she began melding all of these educational experiences together with her belief that play is by far the most influential course of learning.

Samantha Spisiak holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science at the College of Brockport. After studying Spanish during a semester in Chile she moved to Burlington and worked as a case manager for the Lund Center residential facility. During this time she also became employed as a nanny by a handful of families.  In both settings, her work with children brought her an unexpected fulfillment and a new direction in life. In her new work, she found many opportunities to help young minds explore their creativity. Samantha recognized the importance of play and guided discovery as well as the crucial need for children to have a variety of opportunities for creativity in a safe, nurturing setting. Samantha altered her career path to become an early childhood educator.
